MIO Throwback of The Day: The Roots Seed 2.0 feat. Cody Chestnut

Monday, May 24th, 2010

Have to love The Roots! I have the privilege to work with them on the Hennessy Artistry 2010 and you’ll see that in a city near year in the Fall of 2010. Until then enjoy this classic track with Cody Chestnut–Seed 2.0 (I PUSH MY SEED IN THE BUSH OF LIFE…LOL).

Found this on Vashtie Blog and it took me back…Thx for the Throw back! I remember getting the bootleg on tape on Fordham Rd two weeks before it came out, and then at the Parchester train station the Friday before the release. Everyone at school that following Monday was like…dude how did you get the official CD???

MIO Throwback of The Day: Kurupt feat. Nate Dogg & Roscoe – Girl’s All Pause (1999)

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

I was in my Senior year of High School when this song came out, and I remember having this be the theme song for parties when I was a teen. This is still a great song, and Kurupt doesn’t get credit as one of the top West coast emcee’s, but here on MIO we’ll  pay respect to the brother from the West
